Then Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, opened the Forum with an opening speech and read a congratulatory letter to the participants of the conference on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that, during the discussion of the agenda of the Forum, participants of the conference emphasized that international security has entered a new phase of uncertainty. The norms that were established in the twentieth century have changed under the pressure of new activists. The rise of ideological contradictions in societies has created a high degree of mistrust both within countries and at the international level. At the same time, the increase in terrorist acts, asymmetric threats, climate change, demographic imbalance, increasing level of inequality, and changes in the nature of public administration are changing the outlook for the future of global cooperation.
In these circumstances, the further role of international institutions as leaders of international processes also requires new thinking. Today, more than ever, it is important to find a new form of global partnership and multilateral cooperation. In the rapidly changing geopolitical conditions, the main task of the international community and the leaders of the countries is the ability to create means to overcome the problems and to find common grounds for overcoming crisis situations.
The conference continues.
